Hey, everyone! We are very grateful for all of your feedback, and a special thanks to our invaluable beta testers! Active Directory integration is now live. You can start using this feature today for per-user reporting and filtering.
We have new documentation around:
- Sync Tools (https://docs.dnsfilter.com/docs/sync-tools)
- Collections (https://docs.dnsfilter.com/docs/collections)
We plan on adding more directory services to our list of integrations in the future, so we’ll be building on these new features over time.
Since this integration is live, we’re marking this feature as complete.

Is there any plan to have direct Azure AD integration from DNSFilter to Azure without having to run a tool on an endpoint? It's a step backwards for Microsoft 365 customers which are cloud-only.
Serena Raymond
Greg: Thanks for the feedback. While our current sync tool already supports AzureAD directly, we understand a scenario that does not relying on yet another tool installed somewhere is desirable. We will upgrade our AzureAD integration by allowing a connection directly from your DNSFilter dashboard but an eta is currently unknown. We've created a feature request for this: https://dnsfilter.canny.io/admin/board/feature-requests/p/azuread-direct-connection-no-sync-tool

Hi, voters! We have officially moved to beta testing of our Active Directory integration. You should have all gotten two emails earlier today, one of them linking to support docs and the other inviting you to our Active Directory Slack Channel for our beta testers. I just wanted to send a reminder here in case anyone missed the email.
You can start syncing with AD now using these docs:
- Collections: https://docs.dnsfilter.com/docs/collections
- Sync Tools: https://docs.dnsfilter.com/docs/sync-tools
We're looking forward to your feedback!
James

Active Directory Connector
Josh Lamb
This feature request is for the development of an Active Directory connector, which allows for filtering based on AD Organizational Units (OUs). It builds upon the per user reporting that is currently available, and extends it to pair closely with an Active Directory environment.
Administrators will be able to go into the dashboard and see their OUs reflected. They can create & apply policies for anyone assigned to this OU.
Darren
When are we likely to see this feature a it is definitely something I would like to see
Josh Lamb
Hello All!
The Windows Roaming Client now reports the current logged on user into the Query Log and the CSV export log. If you are using the latest version, you should be able to see this already by logging into the dashboard.
We will continue to leave this feature request open for the time being, as we have an announcement forthcoming about a major refresh to the reporting areas of the dashboard. This will close out several feature requests for enhanced reporting.
