Enable 2FA by using the option to copy and paste the private key. All you do is present a QRcode. Please note, that some of us use bitwarden and just copy and paste the private key into our password DB.

I do like when vendors provide both the QR and the underlying 'seed'.

If it helps, you can generally use any 'other' (ie: non-authenticator) app to read the QR code and then parse out the actual TOTP seed the QR represents. Really handy for sites that only provide the QR code.
