Our new reporting system is now live. We expect many improvements to come and have setup a new thread to gather feedback (https://dnsfilter.canny.io/feature-requests/p/insights-reporting-improvements).

Hello voters, we are continuing to improve the Data Explorer and have 2 features to implement before this item is considered "complete".
  1. User reporting, to connect the user to the query.
  2. Scheduled reports, to deliver the data to you and/or your customers.

Hi, everyone! We just pushed a lot of changes live around the Data Explorer feature! Now you can:
  • Create and export PDFs from Data Explorer
  • Use enhanced tooltips that will show individual item data
  • Breakdown data by users
  • Breakdown data by roaming client
  • Drill into data by user or roaming client
We still have some more aspects of Data Explorer planned that we’ll be pushing live over the next few months. So keep an eye out, and let us know what you think!

Serena Raymond: Even with the new reporting Updates I still cannot Complete a simple task i.e. the ability to pinpoint which Roaming client is generating all the queries for a specific Domain! we need to be able to Choose a Domain and drill down to device level !

Nachman Weiss: The Data Explorer project is still in beta, and it's being done in phases. We're definitely working towards better reporting to connect the human to the query, but it's still in progress.

Just implemented our first "NAT IP" policy, and it'd be great to be able to see which policy caused a site to be blocked in reporting :)

Thanks to everyone who voted on this feature for a new reporting interface.
We’ve just released the public beta of Data Explorer 🎉
This new reporting module gives you multiple ways to break down reports. This fulfills much of what people are looking for on this feature request.
We are keeping this feature request as "in progress" as we are looking to soon incorporate two other items people have asked for:
  1. Scheduled email reports (particularly for MSPs who want to send this to their clients)
  2. Breakdown of reports to the Device, Lan IP, and User levels.
If there are any other things you’d like to see, leave us a comment on this feature request thread. We like reading your comments! They play a big part in how we develop the product.

Josh Lamb: with the new reporting tool i can see which is the top url request from my roaming clients but i desperately need the ability to see which roaming client is requesting the high volume of url requests! What is the eta for this and is there currently another way to find out this information ?

Nachman Weiss: Thanks for your comment. We are adding endpoints, like Roaming Clients, to the new Data Explorer reports in phases. You'll see them starting to appear this quarter. In the meantime, you can still use the query log to get more details about Roaming Clients and other endpoints.

Not sure if this applies to this thread but it would be great if we could see rolled up reports and threats from all the sub-organizations in the reporting tab of the parent MSP.
Basically, it would be a big time saver to be able to review reports in one Reporting tab of the parent MSP org rather than having to cycle to and load each individual client page to see reports.
