Based on your feedback, we’ve decided to roll Active Directory integration out in several stages. This feature request now represents Stage 1 “Active Directory: Per User Reporting” and is now "In Progress".
After this, we plan to roll out “Active Directory: per-user filtering” in Stage 2 and an “Active Director Connector” AD-connector in Stage 3.
We are excited that in the near future, the Windows Roaming Client will begin reporting the current logged on user into the Query Log and the CSV export log. You’ll be able to see in the dashboard what user performed a particular query.
For some people who voted on this feature, this request satisfies everything that they needed. All you need to take advantage of this feature is to ensure that auto-update is turned “ON” in your organizational profile. The next version of the Windows roaming client will begin to populate the Query Log with a new column for usernames.
Because this feature involves passing usernames, we wanted to be sensitive to GDPR as well. There is a GDPR setting in your organizational profile. If you do NOT want usernames being passed to our servers, then you may turn this setting off. The Windows client will respect this setting and not transmit that information.
We recommend casting votes for Stage 2 and Stage 3 if you would like to see those features developed.
