Better Block Page Bypass Functionality
(Multiple codes, expiration times, limited bypass access)
Logging of bypasses is very much needed. If a user does something dumb. I need to be able to prove it was their doing and not a DNSfilter failure. A report on when and to what domain the bypass was used would work. more info would of course be better.
Yes, and I think this should be attached to the 2FA discussion.
@Robert: 2FA wouldn't be necessary in this case, since bypass passwords are unaffiliated with dashboard access. However, a more robust mechanism for bypass passwords is something we would like to pursue. A good end result would be the ability to generate multiple passwords, which auto-expire, and are limited to specific categories or domains.
@Dave and @Yechiel. Just to give an update here, there is a limitation in the proxy that we send people to after the bypass password has been entered, so we are planning to do a major replacement of that, as well as implementing the multiple access codes that Ken mentioned. This feature is a priority for us.
I would also like to see this bypass work for all elements/links of the bypass website. Example, if you bypass espn.com the user expects all elements of the website to work. As of right now bypass code just unblocks website and most if not all links/elements/videos are still blocked.
@Dave: I would like to see this as well. Right now, the feature is useless for most sites.
