System Tray Icon Branding for MSP
Ian Bloomfield
Maybe this should be a separate feature request, but we choose to hide the system tray icon because we cannot customise the menu options. We just want the information to be displayed, and we don't want our clients to see options they can click on.

Wanting to bring this one back up, Having spoken to support today they suggested requesting this feature however 2 years on looks like it's something that is still being requested - worth a revisit by Devs?

Mikey @DNSFilter How do you install the non white label version? I have the opposite issue in that the version we're deploying has no mention of the app's name, so skeptical users are not sure if it is malware. These look the same to me.

I would like to be able to brand the icon, we have tried to standardize on a branded look for our system tray icons to help ensure customers and technicians can easily spot what is there.
Mikey @DNSFilter
Hello voters, thanks for your feedback. I understand the sentiment of this request. I could see pulling the tray icon from a URL and will investigate the possibilities. I did want to point out that you can already hide the tray icon on our Windows roaming client and if you install the white label version of our roaming client on Windows or Mac the tray icon is generic.
More information on hiding the Windows tray icon can be found in our docs (https://docs.dnsfilter.com/docs/windows-agent-deployment-guide#command-line-silent-installation).

We already have three icons in their tray. One is their antimalware which for all it accomplishes I'm okay with being generically branded. The other two are for management services and we are able to customize them. The ability to hide the icon would actually be more valuable to us.
