We are pleased to announce the all-new navigation experience for the DNSFilter dashboard in the APP/API 25.02.0 release. This not only is a reworked navigation bar, but the foundation of all new experiences and feature enhancements that we are working on delivering through the 2025 release cadence.
New Navigation Experience
You’ll notice that the new navigation experience has a similar look and feel to the traditional DNSFilter dashboard but has a few prominent changes:
  • Account Settings are now a static element in the new navigation bar, instead of in the upper right hand corner as before. Users can access their Account Settings and Logout link from here.
  • We’ve made the Domain Report a 1st class citizen in the new navigation bar, and you’ll find that right below the Account Settings.
  • Feedback and System Status are also static elements on the navigation bar.
  • Resource Center functionality has been moved to a floating icon element in the lower right hand corner that remains present on all workflows.
  • Release notes and other announcements are now shown when you click on the notification bell next to our logo.
  • MSP / Multi Tenant access to sub-organizations now lives at the top of the navigation bar. This also functions as a string search, so organizations with numerous sub-orgs can narrow down the list.
  • DNS Query Log is now present in the Reporting section and the Tools section - data so nice, we showed it twice!
Upon logging into DNSFilter for the first time after these changes, you will be greeted by a one-time popup that highlights these changes. You can opt for a guided tour of the new navigation elements from there.
Other Fixes and Enhancements in v25.02.0
  • Support ticket history for authenticated users can now be seen in the Resource Center (new icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen)
  • NextJS 14 has been implemented for all UI elements
As always, we welcome your thoughts and feedback on the new experience.
