Local Domains and DNS in Deployment section pre-deployment

It would be nice if the local DNS and local domain menu was available in Deployments section before we deploy the roaming agents.
Right now, it's accessible only if the agents are deployed or if we put /user-agents/local-domains-resolvers at the end of the URL in the roaming clients menu before deploying it. It's quite annoying!

This seems like a no-brainer. I have a site currently that needs a single roaming client, for a laptop that is currently offline, and I have no idea when it will be turned on to install the software to make the settings show up.

Yes, please.

The workaround..works, but this tab should just be present before the first agent is installed. Hoping to see it fixed soon.

We found a workaround to this by navigating to local domains in a company already setup, then switching to the new company. That will allow you to configure the local domains prior to deployment.
It would be nice to not have to use a workaround though.

We have the same issue on our side. If we want to deploy at scale, we still need to install one and configure the local domains/resolvers.

Agent: Allow Local Domain config before first agent is deployed
Scott Thomson
We are using RMM to drive agent deployment (which works very well!)
However, one annoying behavior is that we can't portal-configure the Local Domain until the first agent is deployed. As we are targetting RMM deploys on a site level, it means we have to push a single agent out first just so the Local Domain tab gets exposed in the Portal GUI.
Could you consider altering this so that we can configure Local Domain at the same time we retrieve the install key to avoid this additional step?
Mikey @DNSFilter
Mihir that is a great suggestion. I can see how setting up the local domains/resolvers prior to deploying to your users would be helpful. Not setting any timeline but I'll work on this with the Product team.
Mihir
Mikey @DNSFilter: Yes! The feature is there but the feature is somewhat hidden.
Currently, it's in plain sight if I already have agents deployed. Otherwise, I can't see that menu. They just need to ensure that we can see the menu regardless if we have the agents deployed or not.
So we don't have to sort of use workarounds.
