DNS over TLS Without Roaming Client (DDR)

Another service I have used provides DNS names that can be used for DNS over TLS that point directly to profiles (e.g. profile1.dnsprovider.com; profile2.dnsprovider.com; etc.). On OSes that support DNS over TLS natively (Android, Windows 11), this enables pointing the device to a specific profile without needing to install a roaming client.

Our resolvers do now support DDR. Please let us know if you run into any issues.

Yes! I use (likely the same service) for my family connections and this feature is great. Probably the biggest issue is the way that Android will flip back to standard (Google) DNS if there's an issue and the user picks the wrong option.
